Support Women-Owned Businesses This Month (and Always)

Although we know that it doesn’t require a special time of year to love and support what we believe in, we most certainly aren’t letting up on the cause of women supporting women during Women’s History Month! If you’ve been wondering how you can support beyond just being a “consumer” we’ve got you covered with three of our ways to let women-owned businesses know you support them!


  1. Attend events 


If a business is holding a meet-up, hosting a class, or launching a new product, show up! While sometimes these are ticketed events, attending doesn’t always mean emptying your pockets. Having high attendance creates a buzz, encourages business owners, and gives them an opportunity to share what they’re doing with a large audience that can spread the word. 


  1. Join their email list


When you subscribe to an email list, you’re consenting to a direct line of communication between you and that business. This often mutually benefits both parties as email lists are most likely to receive early bird announcements, special discounts, and other important news. Subscribing to email, and interacting with the email also gives valuable insights to the business on what types of offers their audience responds to. This allows them to better understand and serve their customers moving forward!


  1. Give feedback


Let’s be honest, we all know the difference between unsolicited, rude advice and genuine feedback. We’re talking about the latter. When you see posts on social from your favorite women-owned companies asking questions about products or services and business offers, chime in with your answer. Even if it’s just in IG stories, this is a form of market research and it’s invaluably helpful to business owners when folks speak up. If there’s a place to leave ideas or ask questions, do it! They’ll be grateful and it will likely improve your experience as a customer in the future if they take your suggestions to heart.
