How To Kill It At Working From Home (WFH) this summer

As the temperatures rise and vacation vibes are in full effect. Working from home during the summer months can be exciting and challenging at the same time. Whether you are planning some leisure travel while working or just having a few more work days remote, here's how to kill it at working from home this summer:

1. Consistent Routine: Set a consistent schedule that aligns with your peak working hours. Allow for dedicated work time as well as time to unwind and enjoy summer. Stick to your routine to stay on track and avoid falling behind on tasks.

2. Functional Workspace: Designate a dedicated workspace in your home where you can focus and minimize distractions. You want to make sure your setup is comfortable, well-lit, and free from clutter. Having a designated workspace helps signal to your brain that it's time to work and when you step away you leave work in that space.

3. Set Boundaries and Prioritize Tasks: Establish clear boundaries between work and leisure

time to prevent burnout and maintain work-life balance. Communicate your availability to family and friends and establish guidelines for interruptions during work hours.

4. Embrace Flexibility and Remote Tools: Take advantage of the flexibility that comes with working from home by using remote collaboration tools. Such as, video conferencing for meetings, project management tools for task organization etc. Some of our favorites are: Notion, Dropbox, Flodesk, Dubsado.

5. Take Advantage of Downtime and Breaks: Schedule breaks and downtime to recharge. Take short outdoor breaks into your schedule to soak up the sunshine or go for a walk. Taking regular breaks boosts mood and reduces stress, which leads to increased productivity and focus when you jump back into work.

Working from home is a big transition. Find a balance that works for you, and embrace the flexibility that remote work offers during this sunny season.
