Three Tips To Implement Seasonal Branding For Winter

Looking for some ways to spruce up your winter content while staying on brand? We’ve got you covered! Adding seasonal elements is a good way to catch the interest of your client or customer with relatable material that they can connect to. This is a great way to indirectly nurture the client relationship by creating connection points. It can even lead to sales or other conversions! Let’s dive into some of our favorite ways to integrate winter seasonal vibes into your brand.

  1. Add a twinkle to your visual identity

One fun way to signal the change of the seasons is to choose a complementary accent color to work into your current brand color palette. This color, like your other brand colors, should be used consistently throughout your visuals and correlate to the winter season.

Another option, if you don’t want to add any new colors, could be to include a seasonal icon in all your visuals. Be sure to stick with your brand colors for the icon. Think of seasonal items like a snowflake, gift box, or a cozy mug. Any icon that is relevant to the season and your brand can work here.

  1. Create seasonal content

Once you’ve made a plan for your visuals, the opportunities are endless for seasonal content! Long-form content like gift guides is an excellent way to showcase your products and services. They’re also a really organic way to promote the products and services of other businesses that you partner with, or a relationship-building opportunity if you choose to shout out businesses that you’d like to partner with in the future! Holiday gift guides in November and December are always popular but don’t forget the other winter months. A self-care gift guide in January is always a slay, and you can never go wrong with a Valentine’s Day gift guide.

Lean on social media and your email list when creating seasonal content. Ask your subscribers a question in your newsletter, start a poll on an Instagram post, or put a “this or that” graphic in your stories. Don’t overthink it! People love to share their thoughts and opinions. Ask your audience if they prefer hot chocolate or apple cider on a cozy day and watch the conversation starters roll in.

  1. Spread holiday cheer

While it’s totally possible to create seasonal content that doesn’t include holidays, your

business and ideal clients may recognize several holidays throughout the season. There are plenty of holiday lovers who will find content surrounding said holidays relatable and enjoyable! Holiday content is a great way to tap into nostalgia, create connections, and strengthen points of connection with your audience. This time of year is a great example of the importance of understanding your ideal customer. If holidays are their thing, then holidays are a great addition to your winter branding and marketing plans.

Having a solid brand identity is the first step to being successful with seasonal campaigns! When you, and your clients, know who you are it is much easier to play around with new elements that enhance your core brand strategy and bring excitement and fun to your marketing plan!
